We don’t cut corners at River Winds. Our property maintenance and upkeep are impeccable. While, yes, we are an authentic farm property, our event spaces are spotless and top quality. Stylishly decorated, the décor of our indoor areas are kept simple so as to never draw away from the event.
The Farm’s hub is the Austin House, our fully restored antique farmhouse. The large downstairs rooms feature period furniture, and a large, chef’s kitchen to accommodate catering for large groups. The 8-bedroom, 4 ½ bathrooms guest area upstairs sleeps 16 comfortably, and can be used for overnight guests or areas to get dressed and do hair and makeup for your party. The house has a large dining room, sitting rooms, screened sunroom, and indoor heated lap pool.
The original barn to the property is a big, classic New England barn complete with wide plank floors, hayloft and horse stalls. However, it’s all cleaned up and ready to host any party from an elegant wedding reception to a rocking milestone birthday celebration. The large floorplan can accommodate a band or DJ, dancefloor, and sit down or buffet-style dinner service.
We have several outdoor areas for your party to spread out, or your guests to stretch their legs and get some fresh air. Enjoy the sunset over the farm from the barn’s huge, attached deck. There are groomed trails leading to our pond, and through the woods down to our frontage on the Saco River.
The weather can impact any party, and it’s hard to find an event space where you can do everything outdoors or have large enough indoor space should the forecast not cooperate. As we’ve mentioned, we have lots of inside and outside spaces to accommodate you – no matter the weather!
